No Other Word…

Name Above All Names

I have been trying for the life of me to find the right words to respond to the tragedy that has taken place in Orlando. People have died and people are hurting, people are looking for answers, people are angry, people are shocked, people feel hopeless, and some people are absolutely devastated. And everyone has the right to all of those emotions. I want so badly to say the right thing that will help ease the pain and upheaval that evil has caused in the lives of so many, but words escape me. And for a writer, that’s not an easy pill to swallow.

I don’t know how to offer hope, peace, or comfort…

Our enemy, prowls around like a lion seeking to devour, kill, steal, and destroy.  He has done that. He is the ruler of this sinful world, and the enemy of our souls.  He has had his way in Orlando.

But…Our hope does not come from this world.

Our hope and our rescue comes from Jesus. He is the only right way to say what needs to be said.

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus…

Jesus
